My role as an artist today has deep roots in a three-decade career as lead graphic designer (Creative Director) for a prominent local advertising agency. The necessity to solve problems (creatively) day-in and day-out, utilizing the principles of design and the elements of art, deeply ingrained those tools into everything I do and is now entirely intuitive for me. As a result, the transition from design to fine art was a natural morph. The art I create currently is inspired by unique textures and color combinations that I discover in nature. However the execution has a very high abstraction level and are often entirely non-representational. My art serves as a dramatic punctuation in a wide array of interior spaces and architectural designs.
