Early Morning, LeCompte, Louisiana

Louisiana’s open lands are beautiful. I frequently paint them not only because I live here but especially because I value these places so much.  They provide great habitat for game and non-game animals, grazing for livestock, soils for farming. Respect for, and knowledge and understanding of our public and private lands now will help us protect them for future generations. My paintings are about landscape, memory, place and paint.
