My hand built work centers on clear, strong shapes, that read as both vessel or sculpture. With the careful use of added form, texture and glaze, I raise the question: use, beauty or both. Influenced by nature, architecture, design and human emotions, I let the coils and slabs begin the forming process, then choose how to refine and detail. With some luck, plus a large measure of effort and skill, a piece worth sharing emerges.
