CNC drawn paint on Stonehenge paper
Constructed in a virtual 3D space and translated to paper via a ball-point paint pen on a custom plotter attachment for a CNC Router, Plane 9: pulled line is one of a series of drawings that question the necessity of the ‘hand of the artist’ in the physical creation of the work. They represent a subtle shift in a virtual plane through various stages of action: pushed, pulled, inflated, scored, and otherwise manipulated. These drawings utilize moments of congruity and dissonance to exemplify the ever-shifting lines of our perceived reality.
