Time Studies #1

Influenced by the “pause in life” of the COVID-19 Pandemic, I sought to document time to refind purpose. Seeing time pass in daily movement of the sun & moon, drew me to document the sky through a historic vision of time in these astral transitions. Utilizing a 4x5 film camera, I track these movements through consecutive exposures that range from every ten-minutes to hours long exposures in a single place. Through this extensive field work of remaining in place, I gained a meditative activity of creation that came to help me develop catharsis for time.
