Acrylic on Gallery Canvas
With my work, I wanted to produce precise paintings with a bold visual impact. My paintings have colorful shapes which are formed and outlined with sharply defined black acrylic paint on square canvases. These shapes often represent the general theme while telling a story. I developed a painting system that consist of rulers and compass bows twenty years ago to assist in my desired precision. While I do not, most suspect that I use tape to create the black outlines. The final step in my painting process is when I paint the black outline edges freehand with a small brush.
